Why we chose a flat-fee model

Our fees reflect the complexity of your planning — not the size of your portfolio.

Many financial advisors charge a percentage of the assets they manage. While that model is common throughout the industry, we believe clients are best served when financial advice is separated from the size of their investment accounts.

A flat-fee structure allows us to focus on one question: "What is the best decision for the client?" Whether that means investing additional assets, paying down debt, funding a business venture, purchasing real estate, maximizing employer-sponsored retirement plans, or implementing tax strategies, our compensation remains the same. We believe this helps align our advice with your goals rather than the value of assets under management.

We also believe advisory fees should reflect the complexity of a client's financial situation rather than simply the size of their portfolio. A family with a growing business, stock compensation, multiple income sources, estate planning needs, and tax considerations may require significantly more planning than someone with a larger but relatively straightforward investment portfolio. A flat-fee model allows us to price our services based on the work involved and the value delivered.

Another benefit is transparency. You know exactly what you're paying and what services you're receiving. Your fee doesn't automatically increase because the market had a strong year, nor does it fluctuate based on decisions about where assets are held. This creates a clear and predictable relationship between the advice you receive and the fee you pay.

At the end of the day, financial planning is about much more than managing investments. It's about helping people make informed decisions, navigate life's financial complexities, and gain confidence in their future. We believe a flat-fee approach keeps the focus where it belongs: on providing objective advice and helping clients achieve their goals.
